These handmade baskets are made of Aguayo, a very special fabric weaved by women from the Andes region of Argentina (my country of origin), Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, dyed with natural vibrant colors. All the process of elaboration, from the sheared of the wool to the weave is hand made.
Big-squared weaves are traditionally used to carry babies and small children on one’s back, or to put food, as well as all sorts of products.
